Privacy & credits
Cut Scenes is a personal, non-commercial design experiment. No ads, no tracking cookies, nothing sold. We barely know who you are, and we'd like to keep it that way.
Who runs this
Ali de Freijo, based in Spain, is responsible for the data described here. Write to cutscenes.studio@gmail.com for anything on this page.
What we store, and only if you use it
- Gift links: the names and note you type, the level, and your own still if you upload one. Only people with the link can open it.
- Submissions to Now Showing: the image and film details you send, plus the name you sign with. We review them before anything is public.
- Leaderboard: your time and level, and an alias if you choose to sign it.
Gift links and stills that were never published are kept for up to 12 months. Anything else stays while it's on the site. Ask and we'll delete or send you what we hold about you.
Your browser
- Two small preferences stay in your browser:
cs-theme(red or black) andcs-music(music on or off). They never leave your device. - Music plays through Spotify's own player, which only loads when you press Cue the music. From then on Spotify may set its own cookies; see Spotify's privacy policy.
- Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics: no cookies, no personal identifiers, only totals such as pages visited, country and device type. Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast pages load, also anonymously.
Who helps us run it
- Vercel hosts the site and counts visits.
- Supabase stores gift links, submissions, scores and images.
- Spotify plays the music, only when you ask.
- TMDB provides film details and some stills.
Like any website, these services see your IP address when your browser talks to them.
Uploading images
Only upload images that are yours or that you have permission to share, and nothing that shows a person without their consent. You must be 14 or older to upload or sign the leaderboard.
Credits, and taking things down
Film stills belong to their studios and rights holders; they're used here, credited, for a non-commercial project. If something is yours and you want it gone, email us and it comes down, usually within a day or two. We'll cry, then remove it.
Film details and stills from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at cutscenes.studio@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD.
